Two Projects

Well, I started two projects - scarves for Xmas presents! One of the scarves I'm weaving and the other I'm knitting. So relaxing!!

I resisted the urge to go out and buy more yarn! It's so addicting! but my dad is spinning some yarn for me! I didn't even know he had a spinning wheel! He always amazes me! I asked him how it was going and he said the yarn had a lot of "texture". ha ha ha I guess now he's thinking about getting some sheep! The yarn he got from a friend is "highland sheep" wool. I hope I'm remembering that correctly! Any advice out there? Anyone raising sheep for yarn wool?

Terrible Weekend

Well, it was not the weekend I thought it would be. I expected to go out and take pictures but I ended up putting my dog of 15 yrs down. His kidneys were failing and he was beginning to feel ill. I really miss him but I'm so grateful that I had him for so long - such a good doggie friend. He was never sick until the last few months so he had a good spoiled doggie life.

In the meantime - I went and spent tons of money on yarn for my weaving and knitting projects. Always makes me feel better - now I just need to go buy some shoes.

I also bought a small digital camera that will fit into my purse. Easier for those fun trips that don't require a serious camera like my Pentax. I'll try it out next week when I head for the Tall Ships Festival near Oxnard.

Figured it out!

Well, finally getting back to setting up my blog. I've discovered that I need to take some fresh, fun pictures!! I took the weekend and looked through my archived photos and realized that I need to get my tush out there and get some picture taking done! Work and school work just takes a toll on my fun time!

So that's my plan this weekend - photo/road trip! Since I live in a hot area -I'm going to head for the beach! Get some awesome lunch and scout around for some photo opportunities!
